Immunizations

Date: Third Wednesday of every month (excluding June, July and December)
Time: 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

One in four children living in Texas go without the necessary immunizations to lead healthy, happy lives due to a lack of affordability and access to medical care. Yet, immunizing children is one of the most direct, simple and least expensive ways to build healthier futures for medically underserved families in Texas.

The House of Amos is an approved site for the Care Van Program which provides free immunizations to uninsured and medically underserved children. The Care Van Program is coordinated through the Caring for Children Foundation of Texas, Inc. and sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas as well as other genrous sponsors. Care Van medical supplies are provided by Spindletop Charities and the Methodist Hospital.
  • Vaccines are given FREE to any infant or child up to the age of 18.
  • Parent or guardian MUST accompany the child and
  • You MUST bring the child's immunization records (Alief ISD nurse's record is accepted).
