House of Amos and MDUMC Serve 530 Thanksgiving Dinners to Hungry Families

posted Dec 18, 2011 7:22 PM by Daran Bishop

The House of Amos held its annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 24, 2011. Traditional Thanksgiving meals were distributed to 530 individuals. Volunteers from Memorial Drive United Methodist Church (MDUMC) cooked and packed the food, then delivered it to House of Amos on Thanksgiving morning. Volunteers from MDUMC and First United Methodist Church, set up and distributed the meals. MDUMC provided all of the food, and Randalls provided 100 free turkeys (via the Houston Food Bank).

A very heartfelt THANK YOU to all the organizations that made this special day possible! Isn't it amazing what we can accomplish working together?
