The English as a Second Language (ESL) program is overseen by a Literacy Director, and classes are taught by certified ESL instructors and volunteers trained in ESL methods and strategies. Classes focus on the improvement of English oral and written communication.
Registration:
- Registration for Spring Classes:
- Returning Students: January 16, 2012
- New Students: January 17, 2012
- Please register at the time you plan to take classes (9:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.)
- Please complete a registration form (available from the House of Amos).
- Register in person and only for yourself. Registration is first come, first served, so please be on time to register.
- A photo ID is required at registration.
- A mandatory short orientation will follow registration, and you will be scheduled for testing to determine your English proficiency level. After the test you will be placed in the class that best suits your needs.
- Students with good attendance who have taken the progress test are given priority in registration and may pre-register for the next session before open registration. Pre-registration is only available to students currently enrolled in classes.
- Classes start on January 23, 2012.

Mon/Wed: 9:00 a.m. - Noon
Tues/Thurs: 9:00 a.m. - Noon
- Evening Sessions:
Mon/Wed: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Tues/Thurs: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
